Taylor Rashi
Taylor Steven Rashi is an American baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks. He wears number 54 and bats and throws right-handed. He made his Major League debut in 2025.
Born January 15, 1996, in Torrance, California, Rashi went to West Torrance High School and played college baseball at El Camino College and the University of California, Irvine.
The San Francisco Giants drafted him in the 23rd round of the 2019 MLB draft. He started his pro career in the Giants’ system with the rookie-level Arizona League Giants and Low-A Salem-Keizer. The 2020 minor league season was canceled due to COVID-19.
In 2021, he played for the High-A Eugene Emeralds, posting a 6-3 record with a 4.44 ERA, 68 strikeouts, and two saves in 32 appearances. In 2022, he pitched for Double-A Richmond Flying Squirrels, going 1-3 with a 2.83 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 35 innings across 30 relief outings.
On December 7, 2022, the Diamondbacks selected Rashi from the Giants in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft. In 2023 he split time between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Double-A Amarillo, going 3-1 with a 4.40 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 11 appearances (three starts).
In 2024 he played for Amarillo and Triple-A Reno, making 41 relief appearances with a 7-3 record, a 4.70 ERA, 62 strikeouts, and three saves in 51 2/3 innings.
On August 27, 2025, Rashi was added to the 40-man roster and promoted to the major leagues for the first time. He debuted August 28, 2025, earning a save after three scoreless innings. In his rookie season with Arizona, he appeared in 10 games, going 0-1 with a 4.41 ERA and 22 strikeouts, plus two saves in 16 1/3 innings.
Nov 21, 2025, he was non-tendered and became a free agent. He re-signed with the Diamondbacks on December 5, 2025, on a minor league contract.
