Tasting Table is an American digital media company focused on food and drink. Based in New York City, it runs tastingtable.com and a newsletter that covers dining, wine, cocktails, cooking, and food travel. The site publishes original articles, photos, and videos and also hosts events such as the Lobster Rumble in New York City and Los Angeles.

Founded in 2008 by Geoff Bartakovics and John McDonald, with backing from the Pilot Group, Tasting Table operates under the umbrella of TDT Media Inc. The company has about 40 employees.

One of its signature events is the Lobster Rumble, an annual lobster roll competition that started in New York and now also takes place in Los Angeles. Attendees vote for Fan Favorite, while Tasting Table editors pick an Editor’s Choice. In 2014, New York hosted 20 competitors with about 2,000 attendees, and Los Angeles had 13 competitors with about 1,000 attendees.

In 2015, Tasting Table acquired Flavour, a restaurant discovery app praised by the New York Times. It relaunched the app as DINE by Tasting Table, a curated restaurant finder. DINE covers eight cities, with editors selecting the included restaurants and aggregating reviews from roughly 30 local and national publications and critics.
