T. J. Vasher
T. J. Vasher is an American football wide receiver born on August 29, 1998, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 215 pounds. He played high school football and basketball at S. H. Rider in Wichita Falls, where he had a standout senior season with 1,169 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns on 60 catches.
He played college football at Texas Tech from 2016 to 2020. He redshirted his first season after a season-ending injury. In 2017 he had 29 receptions for 545 yards and 6 touchdowns. In 2018 he had 54 receptions for 687 yards and 7 touchdowns. In 2019 he had 42 receptions for 515 yards and 6 touchdowns. In 2020 he played 7 games, totaling 19 receptions for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Vasher went undrafted in 2021 and signed with the Dallas Cowboys. He spent time on the reserve/non-football injury list due to a college knee injury and was waived in 2022.
In 2023, he was drafted by the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL. He played in 9 games with 7 starts, recording 16 receptions for 173 yards and 2 touchdowns. He re-signed with the Brahmas in early 2024 but was released in April.
In May 2024, Vasher signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL and was released in June 2024.
In October 2024, he joined the Houston Roughnecks. He is listed with the team in 2025 as an offseason/practice squad member.
His uncle, Nathan Vasher, is a former NFL cornerback who played for the Chicago Bears.
