Sword of Honour (video game)

Overview
Sword of Honour is a 1992 action-adventure video game developed by Dynafield Systems for Amiga, Commodore 64, and DOS. The project took almost three years to finish.

Gameplay
- The game mixes the combat-focused style of The Last Ninja with the side-scrolling view of Ninja (and Fist II: The Legend Continues).
- Players use icon-based controls to fight enemies, avoid traps, collect and use items, and interact with characters.
- Combat can be done unarmed or with weapons such as ninjatō, kusarigama, tekagi-shuko, shuriken, and kunai.

Plot
You play as an elite ninja tasked with recovering the stolen family sword of the Shogun Yuichiro from his enemy, Lord Toranaga. The ninja must retrieve the sword and prevent Toranaga from forcing Yuichiro to commit seppuku.

Reception
The game received mixed reviews:
- CU Amiga: around 86% (praised as an excellent combat title with more to discover)
- The One: around 77%
- Amiga Format: around 67%
- Amiga Power: around 23% (criticized for not meeting a higher standard)
