"Sunday" is a 1926 song written by Chester Conn, with lyrics by Jule Styne, Bennie Krueger, and Ned Miller. It became a jazz standard and has been recorded by many artists. Although the tune has been paired with various lyrics, its best-known words come from Jule Styne's original version: "I'm blue every Monday, thinking over Sunday, that one day that I'm with you." In 1927, early successful recordings were made by Jean Goldkette and His Orchestra, Cliff Edwards, and Gene Austin. The tune later became the theme for The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, a Sunday NBC radio comedy program that ran from 1948 to 1954.
