Sturton by Stow is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. The civil parish had 1,369 residents at the 2011 census. The village sits along the B1241 (north–south) and the A1500 Tillbridge Road (an old Roman road). The village of Stow lies to the north.

Sturton by Stow is part of the ecclesiastical parish of Stow, and the local parish church is Stow Minster. There used to be a mission church in Sturton dedicated to St Hugh, designed by John Loughborough Pearson; it was sold in January 2022 and is now in private ownership. The nearest churches are Stow Minster, St Botolph’s Church in Saxilby, and St Margaret of Antioch Church in Marton.

There is a primary school on School Lane. Planning for a secondary school to serve the area began in the 1950s. The Epworth secondary school opened in 1961, built at a cost of about £95,000 to serve around 450 pupils from 27 villages, including Sturton. It was built by William Wright and Sons of Lincoln, with 10 acres of playing fields and eight classrooms. The long-serving headteacher John Capp retired in 1968 and was succeeded by Michael Northway.

In 1987 a decision was made to close the school, and it closed in 1989. By then pupil numbers had fallen from about 500 to around 50, and some students went to William Farr School in Welton or Castle Hills School in Gainsborough.

The village pub is The New Plough Inn on Tillbridge Road. The River Till lies about a mile to the east.
