The Federation Autonome du Collegial (FAC) is a teachers' union in Quebec that represents teachers at many CEGEPs (colleges).

In 1989–1990, FAC had about 3,000 teachers at 14 CEGEPs during wage talks with the Quebec government. After lengthy negotiations, FAC accepted a separate contract from two other unions, Fédération nationale des enseignantes et enseignants du Québec (FNEQ) and Central de l'Enseignement du Quebec.

In the late 1990s, FAC's membership grew to include teachers at 17 CEGEPs.

In 1997, a FAC representative wrote against proposed CEGEP mergers, arguing that mergers would reduce programs and limit student access.

In 2006, FAC joined with other Quebec unions to publish a student brochure called "Let's Talk Politics," highlighting education issues.

In April 2009, FAC supported members of Syndicat des professeurs et professeures de l’Université involved in labour action at Université du Québec à Montréal.
