Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989

The Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989 is United Kingdom legislation aimed at simplifying the law by repealing old laws that are no longer useful. It follows recommendations from the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission to remove enactments whose effects are no longer of practical value, while preserving any effects that are still needed.
