Star GS Hellas
Star GS Hellas (Greek: Σταρ ΓΣ Ελλάς) is Greece’s national beauty pageant based in Athens. It selects Greece’s representatives for Miss Universe and Mister Supranational. The organization was founded in 2011 and is led by President George Kouvaris. The first Miss Universe Greece title appeared in 2021, and the first Star Hellas contestant to compete at Miss Universe did so in 1952. In the 1970s and early 1980s, the pageant was broadcast on ERT; from 1990 to 2010 it aired on the private TV network ANT1. The Miss Universe Greece pageant uses the motto “confidently beautiful,” and the winner goes on to Miss Universe each year. Greece did not send contestants in 1988, 2016, and 2017.
