The song was written by Ethan Hulse, Josh Baldwin, Mark Harris and Rita Springer, and produced by Ed Cash.
The track is in the key of C, about 72 BPM, with a 4/4 time signature. It reached No. 7 on the US Christian Songs chart, marking Baldwin’s first chart entry.
The radio release followed on August 17, 2018. Baldwin has said the song came together after he stayed with Rita Springer and Mark Harris at Gateway Church in Dallas; Ethan Hulse stopped by briefly and contributed the chorus, helping finish the song in about 45 minutes.
A live performance video from Heaven Come Conference 2018 was released in July 2018, and Bethel Music released the album- version lyric video on January 25, 2019. A Heaven Come live video from the event was published on July 19, 2018.
