Louis Duhamel (January 1, 1835 – October 27, 1915) was a Canadian doctor and politician from Quebec. Born Roch Duhamel in Verchères, Lower Canada, he studied at the Collège d'Ottawa and McGill University and became a doctor in 1860. He practiced in Ottawa, Pembroke and Wright County, and also owned a drug store in Hull. He represented the Ottawa electoral district in the Quebec Legislative Assembly as a Conservative from 1875 to 1886. He married Félonise Bel in 1862 and later Ézilda Mazurette dit Lapierre (widow of Césaire Thérien) in 1901. Duhamel was Ottawa County registrar from 1886 to 1915 and prothonotary at Hull from 1901 to 1915. He died in Hull at age 80. His Hull home later became the Chez Henri hotel, named a historic monument by Gatineau in 2003.
