Stan Verrett
Stan Verrett (born 1966/1967) is an American sportscaster. He grew up in New Orleans, attended St. Augustine High School and Howard University, and is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. He started as a radio DJ on WOWI 103 Jamz in Hampton Roads, then worked as a sports anchor for WVEC-TV 13 and WAVY-TV 10. In April 2009, he joined ESPN's Los Angeles Live studios to anchor the 10 p.m. SportsCenter with Neil Everett. In August 2016, he was named studio host for ESPN's college football coverage on ABC, replacing John Saunders. Verrett has appeared primarily on ESPN and ESPNU, including SportsCenter, college basketball and football studio segments, and as a sideline reporter for ArenaBowl XXII. He left ESPN on May 22, 2025. Four months later he joined the Los Angeles Clippers' broadcaster, FanDuel Sports Network SoCal, as host of the pre- and post-game shows. On October 1, 2025, it was announced that he would host a national sports news program, FanDuel Sports Network Countdown Live, starting October 27. He is the cousin of Jason Verrett.
