Staša Babić is a Serbian archaeologist and associate professor at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Philosophy. She focuses on the Iron Age and archaeological theory. She earned her bachelor’s degree in 1986, master’s in 1989, and doctorate in 1998 at the University of Belgrade. Since 2009 she has served as Head of the Department of Archaeology at the university. Her 2018 book Metaarheologija explores what archaeological knowledge is, stressing collective knowledge over sudden paradigm shifts. She is considered a leading thinker in archaeological theory in the Balkans.
