Sydney Cricket Ground Trust
The Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust, often called the SCG Trust, was a government agency in New South Wales that ran the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and the Sydney Football Stadium (SFS) in Sydney. It merged into Venues NSW on 1 December 2020.
The Trust was based at The Sheridan Building in Moore Park and also managed the former Sydney Sports Ground and SCG No.2. In 2008, its head office moved to The Sheridan Building, which was later demolished during the 2018 redevelopment of the SFS.
In 2007, the UTS-Balmain club partnered with the Trust and became known as Sydney Tigers. The Basil Sellers SCG Sculpture Project funded bronze sculptures around the SCG and SFS. In 2014, the Trust opened the Media Hall of Honour at the MA Noble Stand with fifteen inductees.
Affiliations included the Sydney City Roosters, New South Wales Rugby Union, Sydney Swans, Sydney FC, and Sydney Cricket Club. Leadership included Chairman Tony Shepherd, Deputy Chairman Rod McGeoch, and CEO Kerrie Mather. The board also included Stephanie Brantz, Michael Crismale, David Gilbert, Nihal Gupta, John Hartigan, Peter Ivany, Alan Jones, Maurice Newman, Barry O’Farrell, Katie Page, and Phil Waugh.
