St Agnes' Church, Cotteridge
St Agnes’ Church, Cotteridge, Birmingham, England, was a Church of England parish church. It began in 1898 as a church room used as a mission of St Nicolas’ Church, Kings Norton. In 1902 construction started on a new building designed by architects Cossins, Peacock and Bewlay, and it was consecrated in 1903. In 1916 the living became a vicarage, and the church formed its own parish, taken from St Nicolas’. In 1937 land from Cotteridge was used to form the parish of Holy Cross in Billesley. It later became St Agnes Parish Church. The church closed on 24 February 1985 and was demolished in January 1986, to make way for a supermarket and housing for elderly people. The neighbouring Methodist church was extended and the two sites were merged; the combined church remains at Pershore Road and is now known as The Cotteridge Church. The building housed an organ by Norman and Beard from 1903; its specification is listed in the National Pipe Organ Register.
