Bessie Bardot, born Bessie Wilson on 10 September 1974 in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, is an Australian businesswoman, author, model, TV host and social figure. She was discovered in the 1990s by Geoff Barker, a former Australian Gladiator, whom she later married. Together they started Australia’s first body-model agency, working for film, TV and print. She also acted in Fat Pizza and Pizza TV and appeared in many magazines as she built a public profile.

Her agency, Bardots Bodies, later went into administration in 2001. She then moved into business and media, starting BubbleMedia PR and Movers Shakers, Australia’s first celebrity contact broker. She hosted a show on Arena, served as a Make-A-Wish and Australia Day ambassador, and did tours in the Middle East to entertain Australian troops. She also worked in radio with Austereo and became a professional speaker, often talking about women in business, health and relationships.

In 2009, she and her husband gave away almost a million dollars’ worth of possessions in a “life change experiment.” Bardot has written three books and works as a lecturer and media commentator. She hosted a burlesque talent show in 2007, with her husband as a judge, and contributed to the 2011 book Who Needs Prince Charming? by Amanda Cole.
