Space For Humanity
Space For Humanity (S4H) is a nonprofit based in Denver, Colorado. It was founded in 2017 by Dylan Taylor. The group runs a Sponsored Citizen Astronaut Program to give leaders from diverse backgrounds a chance to go to space and experience the Overview Effect—the shift in thinking that comes from seeing Earth from space.
Launched at Space Frontier's NewSpace 2017 conference, S4H aims to send 10,000 diverse people to space in ten years to democratize space and improve the world. The organization has an Alliance Network of advisors, ambassadors, partners, and an Inclusion Council to support its mission.
S4H works with The Space Perspective, a stratospheric balloon company. It runs the Humanity-1 program to sponsor citizens from all walks of life to go to space. Applications for the first program opened in 2019. So far, two people have flown above the Kármán Line with Blue Origin.
