Soulcage is a heavy metal band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1999. They play melodic metal with progressive influences. Their first demo, With the Time I Run, came out in 2004, followed by the debut album Dead Water Diary in 2006. The second album, Soul for Sale, released in 2009, reached a wider audience. The single My Canvas, My Skin from Soul for Sale had a video directed by Tuomas Parviainen. Soulcage is signed to Hellas Records. Soul for Sale was released on 8 April 2009 in Finland and on 8 May 2009 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with a UK release planned for 23 April 2010. Current members are Aleksi Parviainen (vocals), Teppo Parviainen (guitar), Markus Hellas (keyboards), Jari Ilomäki (bass) and Ville Siuruainen (drums). Past members include Asko Kauppinen (bass, 1999–2001), Kenneth Bergström (drums, 1999–2004), Tuomas Mäkelä (drums) and Taneli Helminen (bass, 2001–2006). Website: soulcage.info
