Sobolewskia is a genus of flowering plants in the mustard family (Brassicaceae). It naturally grows from Crimea and Turkey to the Caucasus. The name honors Gregor Federowich Sobolewsky (1741–1807), a Russian military doctor, botanist and mycologist who directed the Saint Petersburg Botanical Garden and taught botany. A synonym for Sobolewskia is Macrosporum. The genus was first described in 1819 in Flora Taurico-Caucasica, volume 3, page 421.
