So Long Pal is a 1944 country song by Al Dexter and His Troopers. It was the follow-up to their big hit Pistol Packin' Mama / Rosalita. The track was recorded on March 18, 1942, at CBS Columbia Square Studio in Hollywood, along with Rosalita and the B-side Too Late to Worry, Too Blue to Cry. It was released on February 6, 1944 by Okeh Records (catalog 6718) and written by Al Dexter. So Long Pal stayed at number one on the Folk Juke Box chart for 13 weeks in 1944, and the B-side also reached number one on the same chart.
