Sir John Barker, 4th Baronet
Sir John Barker, 4th Baronet (1655 – 14 August 1696) was an English baronet and Tory politician. He was the second son of Sir John Barker, 2nd Baronet, and Winifred Parker. In 1665 he inherited the baronetcy after his older brother Jeremy died. He studied at Merton College, Oxford, and in 1680 he was elected Member of Parliament for Ipswich, a seat he held until his death. He married Bridget Bacon, daughter of Sir Nicholas Bacon; they had a daughter and a son. His son William became the 5th Baronet and later served in Parliament from 1708 to 1731.
