Silvestre Francisco Dangond Corrales (born May 12, 1980) is a Colombian singer from Urumita, La Guajira. He comes from a musical family — his father, William José "El Palomo" Dangond Baquero, was a singer, and his mother also grew up in a musical environment. After finishing high school, Silvestre focused on his music career.

He started performing with amateur accordionist Ramón López and released his first album in 2002, Tanto para Tí, which had 12 songs. Through mutual friends, he met accordionist Juancho De la Espriella, and they formed a popular vallenato duo.

Their first duo album, Lo mejor para los dos, came out in 2003 and had 13 tracks. They played more than 250 shows that year. Their next album, Mas unidos que nunca, released in 2004, had 14 songs and helped solidify their success, especially with the hit La colegiala.

In 2005 they released Ponte a la moda, which was very successful in Colombia and among Latin American fans in the United States. The album features several songs written by Dangond.

On the personal side, Silvestre Dangond is married to his childhood sweetheart, Pieri Avendaño, and they have three children: Luis Jose, Silvestre Jose, and Jose Silvestre.

He has earned recognition in the Latin music world, including nominations and awards such as the Latin Grammy, the Grammy, and Premios Nuestra Tierra. He is associated with Sony Music and has been active in music since 2001, playing guitar.
