Segun Arinze
Segun Arinze (born Segun Padonou Aina on 24 September 1965) is a Nigerian actor and singer. He was born in Onitsha, Anambra State, and is the eldest of seven children. He comes from Badagry, Lagos State. For school, he attended Victory College of Commerce in Edidi, Kwara State, and Taba Commercial College in Kaduna State. He studied dramatic arts at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Arinze began his career as a singer and actor. His first album, Dream, helped him become known as a performer, though it was not a big commercial hit. He started acting in Ilorin. He is popularly known as "Black Arrow" for his role in the 1996 film Silent Night directed by Chico Ejiro.
Besides acting, Arinze works as an acting coach and mentors young actors at African film festivals. He was married to Nollywood actress Anne Njemanze, and they have a daughter named Renny Morenike, born on May 10.
