Scraptia is a genus of small beetles known as false flower beetles, in the family Scraptiidae. It belongs to the kingdom Animalia, the phylum Arthropoda, the class Insecta, and the order Coleoptera (beetles). Within beetles, Scraptia is placed in the suborder Polyphaga, the infraorder Cucujiformia, the subfamily Scraptiinae, and the tribe Scraptiini. The genus Scraptia was described by Latreille in 1807. There are more than 20 described species in Scraptia.
