Coral hairstreak (Satyrium titus) is a North American butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. It is tailless and brownish-gray on the top of its wings. The underside of the hindwing has a row of red-orange spots along the outer edge and lacks the blue spot found in many hairstreaks. It lives in brushy areas, thickets, overgrown fields, open woodlands, and near streams. It often visits butterfly weed for nectar and also drinks nectar from New Jersey tea, dogbane, and sulphur flower. Caterpillars usually feed on the fruits of wild plums and cherries, and have been found on serviceberry and oaks. Conservation status: Secure.
