Samaniego, Spain
Samaniego is a small town and municipality in Álava, Basque Country, northern Spain. It lies in the Rioja Alavesa wine region. The town is about 10 km west of Laguardia and 45 km south of Vitoria-Gasteiz. Winemaking is the main industry, with several wineries in the area. The landscape features many vineyards, and the Sierra de Cantabria mountains rise to the north.
