Salmon & Gluckstein was a British tobacco company based in London. It was founded in 1873 by Samuel Gluckstein and Barnett Salmon and grew quickly to become the UK's largest tobacconist, running more than 160 shops by 1901 and claiming to be the largest tobacconist in the world. The business was headquartered on Aldgate High Street, London, and produced cigarettes and cigars. The key figures were Samuel Gluckstein (co-founder), Barnett Salmon (co-founder), and Isidore Gluckstein.

The Gluckstein and Salmon families stayed prominent in the tobacco trade for many years. The firm’s origins go back to Samuel Gluckstein, who moved to London from Germany in 1841 and started in the tobacco business in 1855. After several partnerships and a split in 1870, Samuel formed a new partnership with his sons Isidore and Montague Gluckstein and Barnett Salmon, leading to Salmon & Gluckstein Ltd in 1873. The family pooled resources to keep the business strong.

In 1902 Salmon & Gluckstein was bought by Imperial Tobacco, and the brand remained important until 1955, when the business was dissolved as part of Imperial Tobacco. The family also branched into catering: in 1887 Montague Gluckstein helped create J. Lyons & Co. with Joseph Lyons, though the family’s name was not used for this venture.
