Salmabad
Salmabad is an industrial town in central Bahrain, located west of Isa Town. The Shaikh Salman Highway links Salmabad and Isa Town to Manama and is often congested. A 2024 plan to redevelop the highway aims to ease traffic. The area hosts many factories and businesses and includes Abdulrahman Kanoo International School and the University of Technology Bahrain. It is listed as a future site for a railway station in Bahrain’s planned light rail network. Coordinates: 26.183°N, 50.517°E.
