Salitral Creek
Salitral Creek is a small river in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. It flows as a tributary of the Rio Puerco and rises in the San Pedro Mountains at about 8,800 feet. The creek meets the Rio Puerco below Arroyo Del Agua at about 6,785 feet. The name Salitral comes from Spanish, meaning "place where saltpeter is found."
