SERPINA9
SERPINA9, also known as centerin or GCET1, is a member of the serpin family and encodes the Serpin A9 protein in humans. The gene is located on chromosome 14 in the 14q32 region. Serpin A9 is a serine protease inhibitor and is mainly expressed in germinal center B cells and in some lymphoid cancers. In the body, it is thought to function in germinal centers as an inhibitor of trypsin-like proteases, helping regulate protease activity during immune responses.
