Bob Laforest
Bob Laforest (born May 19, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and is the younger brother of former NHL goalie Mark Laforest. He was drafted 87th overall by the Los Angeles Kings in 1983. Laforest played five games in the NHL during the 1983-84 season, scoring his only career goal in the season opener against the Minnesota North Stars, beating goalie Gilles Meloche. After that, he spent time in the minor leagues with the New Haven Nighthawks and Hershey Bears (AHL), and in the IHL with the Indianapolis Checkers, Fort Wayne Komets, and Milwaukee Admirals. After retiring from hockey, he settled in Welland, Ontario, and worked in real estate with Re/Max Welland Realty Ltd.
