Base Aérea de São Paulo (São Paulo Air Force Base), BASP, is a Brazilian Air Force base in Guarulhos, near São Paulo, Brazil, about 25 km from downtown. It shares facilities with the nearby Guarulhos International Airport (GRU / SBGR) and uses the same airport codes. The base is not open to the public and sits at about 750 meters above sea level. It has two asphalt runways: 10R/28L, 3,000 meters long, and 10L/28R, 3,700 meters long.

History
The base was created on 22 May 1941 at Campo de Marte Airport and moved to its current site on 26 January 1945, when it was called Cumbica Farm. Since January 2017 there are no permanent flying units assigned; the aerodrome is used as a support facility for other Brazilian Air Force, Navy, and Army units when needed.

Former units
From 1969 to January 2018, the 4th Squadron of Air Transportation (4°ETA) Carajá was based here. It was deactivated on 10 January 2018, and its aircraft and personnel were transferred to the 3rd Squadron of Air Transportation (3°ETA) at Santa Cruz Air Force Base.

Current commander
Colonel Aviator Fernando Campos Montenegro.
