Ruth Empson
Ruth Mary Empson is a New Zealand physiology professor at the University of Otago. She earned her PhD from the University of London in 1993, studying epileptic brain activity in the hippocampus and surrounding areas using a tetanus toxin model of chronic epilepsy. She moved to the University of Otago after her PhD and rose to full professor.
