Rudolf Keller
Rudolf Keller (16 June 1917 – 28 November 1993) was a German chess master from Dresden and the brother of Edith Keller-Herrmann. In the late 1930s, he won the Dresden and Saxony championships. He had several strong results in European tournaments before and during World War II, including sharing first place at Bad Warmbrunn in 1939 and notable performances in Berlin (1938), Bad Oeynhausen (1939–40), and Dresden (1942). After the war, he won the Saxony championship again in 1949 and played for East Germany in a 1957 match against Czechoslovakia. He was awarded the International Master title in 1950.
