Romania Coach of the Year
Romania Coach of the Year is an annual football award given by Gazeta Sporturilor to the head coach in Romania who is judged to be the best that year. The Romanian name is Antrenorul anului în România. The award started in 2004.
Mircea Lucescu and Dan Petrescu hold the record with five wins each. The most recent winner is Cristian Chivu. The prize is open to coaches working in Romania or abroad, and to foreign coaches in Romania. The only non-Roman winner so far is Oleh Protasov, who won in 2005 with FC Steaua București.
