Rodney Linares (born August 7, 1977) is a Dominican–American baseball coach for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball. He serves as the Rays’ bench coach, a role he took on in 2022 after previously guiding the team as third-base coach since 2018. Linares also managed the Dominican Republic national baseball team at the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Linares bats and throws right-handed. He played as an infielder in the minor leagues in 1997–1998. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He began coaching in the Houston Astros organization at age 21 in 1999 and spent about 20 years there as a batting coach and minor league manager.

His father, Julio Linares, has been involved with the Astros organization since 1973, serving as coach, manager, scout and other roles, including a stint as a coach from 1994–1996. As a manager in the Astros system starting in 2007, Rodney helped develop players such as Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, Carlos Correa, J. D. Martinez and George Springer. In 2018, he led the Fresno Grizzlies to an 82–57 record, first place in the Pacific Coast League’s Pacific Northern Division, and into the second round of the playoffs. From 2012 to 2016 his teams made the playoffs five consecutive seasons, earning the California League Manager of the Year in 2013 and the Texas League Manager of the Year in 2015. His minor-league managing record over 12 seasons (2007–2018) is 762–697 (.522). He has also managed in the Arizona Fall League and the Dominican Winter League. He spends winters in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic.
