Lovers in Paris (Philippine TV series)
Lovers in Paris is a 2009 Philippine drama romance on ABS-CBN. It is an adaptation of the 2004 South Korean series of the same name by SBS. Directed by FM Reyes, it stars KC Concepcion, Piolo Pascual, and Zanjoe Marudo. The show aired from September 27/28 to December 11, 2009, as part of the Primetime Bida lineup and was shown worldwide on TFC. It has 55 episodes, each about 30 to 45 minutes.
Story and setting
Three people with different ideas about love—Vivian, Carlo, and Martin—meet in Paris and learn life-changing lessons as their paths cross.
Origin and cast
The Korean original, produced by SBS, starred Kim Jung-eun, Park Shin-yang, and Lee Dong-gun. ABS-CBN dubbed it in Filipino and aired it in 2004–2005. The Philippine version marked KC Concepcion’s first primetime project and her first on-screen pairing with Piolo Pascual.
Production notes
Filming began in Paris in early 2009 and wrapped in the Philippines on December 3, 2009. An encore marathon of early episodes aired on October 3, 2009, due to electricity outages after Typhoon Ondoy. Opening theme is “Wag Na Wag Mong Sasabihin” by Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion. Exec producers were Malou Santos, Ginny Monteagudo-Ocampo, and Lindsay Anne Dizon. The show was produced by Star Creatives.
