Rock Me Gently is a 1974 pop song by Canadian singer Andy Kim. After a career lull, Kim funded the recording himself on his Ice Records label. He pressed an instrumental version as the B-side, and Capitol Records later signed him after hearing the single. Released on June 22, 1974, the track climbed to No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 after 14 weeks, reached No. 2 in the UK, and hit No. 10 in Ireland. It remains Kim’s only top-10 hit in the UK or Ireland, and the instrumental B-side got notable airplay on R&B stations.

The song has had a lasting presence in media. Part of it was used in a 1970s UK TV ad for Jif cleaner, and it resurfaced in a 2008 Jeep Liberty commercial. It has been featured in TV shows such as Ray Donovan and Sex Education. The chorus was sampled by Mint Royale in 1999. In 1989, Canadian country singer Michelle Wright released a cover that reached No. 7 on Canada’s RPM country chart. The Trans-Canada Highwaymen covered it for their 2023 release Explosive Hits Vol. 1.
