Robert Balfour, 4th of Balbirnie
Robert Balfour, 4th of Balbirnie (1698–1766), was a Scottish landowner and politician from Fife. He served as the Member of Parliament for Midlothian (Edinburghshire) from 1751 to 1754. In 1736 he married Ann Ramsay, and after the marriage he was known as Robert Balfour-Ramsay. He was the son of George Balfour of Balbirnie and Agnes Lumsdaine. Ann was the daughter of Sir Andrew Ramsay, 4th Baronet, of Whitehill.
