Rob Wilson (born 6 September 1952 in Auckland, New Zealand) is a former racing driver and current driving coach from New Zealand. He competed in many racing series around the world, including British Formula Ford, British Formula Three, Formula Pacific, and endurance racing.

His standout achievement is winning the 1990 Barber Saab Pro Series championship, taking 11 race wins and becoming the series’ all‑time leader in victories. He briefly pursued Formula One in 1981. In the United States, he raced in Indy Lights, competed in NASCAR’s Busch North and Busch Grand National series, and took part in various GT and endurance events.

In endurance racing, Wilson raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1994 and 2004) with his best overall finish of 19th in 2004, and he enjoyed a class victory at the 2008 Dubai 24 Hour with a strong team. He also participated in the 24 Hours of Daytona and other events.

As a driving coach, Wilson has taught at the Skip Barber Racing School and Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, coaching many notable drivers such as Juan Pablo Montoya, Kimi Räikkönen, David Coulthard, Marco Andretti, Lance Stroll, Valtteri Bottas and Valentino Rossi. He is also a musician, having played bass with the 1970s band Edison Lighthouse, and currently performs with the country/rock/blues band Grand Prairie.
