Risa Junna is a Japanese actress, singer, and voice actress born on March 15, 1971, in Minoh, Osaka. She grew up in Toyonaka, and her parents were junior high school teachers. She trained at Takarazuka Music School, passed in 1988 at the top of her class, and joined the Takarazuka Revue in 1990.

In the Revue, she started in the Flower Troupe and was chosen as the etoile (the lead singer in the final scene) for The Rose of Versailles: Fersen thanks to her singing talent. She later moved to the Snow Troupe. In 1994, she was cast in NHK’s 51st asadora Piano and took a year off from the revue for the drama. After returning in 1995, she transferred to the Flower Troupe and made her top musumeyaku debut alongside Miki Maya in East of Eden/Dandyism!. Her final stage with the Revue was How to Succeed in 1996.

Since leaving the Revue, Junna has built a career as an actress in TV, film, and commercials, and she has also worked as a voice actress and singer. In 2001 she starred in the Hong Kong film Midnight Fly with Anita Mui and Simon Yam and sang its theme song. The film was nominated for nine Golden Horse Awards and won Best Original Film Song.
