Euthalia nara, the bronze duke, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family found in the Indomalayan region of Asia (including parts of India such as Arunachal Pradesh). The female has a dark, glossy golden olive-green upper side with black edging. The forewings show a diagonal row of six white spots from the middle of the leading edge to near the outer angle, plus two small white spots near the tip; the inner markings in the central cell are black. The hindwings have two white spots close to the front edge near the corner. The underside is glossy verdigris-green, greener on the forewings, with whiter, more defined markings; the lower part of the forewing’s disc is blue-black. The hindwings display a diagonal row of six white spots; discoidal markings are indistinct. The wing edges (cilia) are white. The wingspan is about 3.4 inches (roughly 8.6 cm).
