Richland Creek is an 8.76-mile-long stream in Guilford County, North Carolina. It is a tributary of the Deep River, joining about 3 miles southeast of High Point. The creek rises near High Point at about 870 feet above sea level and flows east to its mouth at about 678 feet. The watershed drains 16.11 square miles and receives about 46 inches of precipitation each year. The area’s wetness index is 415.28 and it is roughly 19% forested. Water from Richland Creek eventually reaches the Atlantic Ocean via the Deep River and Cape Fear River. The stream has unnamed left tributaries and Mile Branch on the right. Note: there is another Richland Creek on the Deep River’s right bank in Randolph County, so they are not the same stream.
