Richard de Carpentier (born 30 April 1990 in Manchester) is a retired English rugby union player. He was a back-row forward, standing 1.94 m tall and weighing 105 kg. He spent most of his club career with Bath and Worcester Warriors, and also played for Leicester Tigers and Harlequins. He went to Kirkham Grammar School and studied sports coaching at UWIC. He began his professional career with Leicester Tigers and made his England Sevens debut in Edinburgh in 2011. He played for England Sevens from 2011 to 2020, earning 43 caps and winning a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. He signed with Bath on 21 September 2021 after a successful trial and retired from professional rugby on 27 April 2023.
