Ramseur, North Carolina
Ramseur is a small town in Randolph County, North Carolina. It covers about 2.2 square miles, almost all of it land, at an elevation of about 538 feet. In 2020, Ramseur had 1,774 residents, 638 households, and 415 families.
The town was incorporated in 1895 and named after Stephen Dodson Ramseur, a Confederate general. A notable site there is the Deep River-Columbia Manufacturing Company, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Eastern Randolph High School, part of the Randolph County School System, is located in Ramseur.
Parts of the 1968 film Killers Three were shot in Ramseur and nearby Coleridge, with locals appearing as extras.
