Race Against Time is the 66th Nancy Drew mystery, written under the name Carolyn Keene. It was published in 1982 by Wanderer Books (Simon & Schuster) in the United States. The book has more than 200 pages and about 20 chapters.

In this story, Nancy Drew is a movie star who also models for a beauty product. Ned’s college film club is making a spooky vampire movie in an old, deserted mansion, and Nancy stars in it. Two mysteries keep her busy: a valuable racehorse is stolen from a nearby farm, and someone keeps sabotaging the film shoot. Then a building catches fire, making things even more urgent.

Nancy must juggle two deadlines: return the missing horse before its big race and help Ned and his friends finish their horror film before some mysterious force ruins everything.
