Donald Nicholson (Canadian politician)
Donald Nicholson (March 20, 1850 – April 30, 1932) was a Canadian politician from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Before entering politics, he was a tobacco merchant. He served as the Member of Parliament for Queen's, PEI from 1911 to 1921. He sat as a Conservative from 1911 to 1917 and as a Unionist from 1917 to 1921. Nicholson built two houses on Fitzroy Street in Charlottetown, numbers 13 and 15, for his sons Edward and Robert; both are now designated historic properties by the city. His grandson, John Paton Nicholson, later became chief justice of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island. Nicholson died in 1932 at age 82.
