R202 railway (Croatia)
The Varaždin–Dalj railway, officially designated as the R202, is a 249.8-kilometre long railway line in Croatia. It runs from Varaždin in the northwest to Dalj, east of Osijek. The line is non-electrified and mostly single-track.
Connections to other lines and cities:
- Varaždin: connects with R201 (to Čakovec and Zaprešić near Zagreb) and with L201 (to Ivanec and Golubovec).
- Osijek area: connects to M301 (to Budapest via Beli Manastir), M302 (to Strizivojna–Vrpolje), and L209 (to Vinkovci).
- Koprivnica region: intersects with M201 (to Budapest and Zagreb via Gyékényes and Dugo Selo); L204 (to Bjelovar at Kloštar Podravski); L205 and L206 (to Našice and Pčelić).
- Osijek connections extend toward Bizovac (L208 to Belišće) and to Vinkovci (L209). At the Dalj terminus, it connects to R104 (to Vukovar) and Erdut routes toward Subotica.
The R202 is used for freight and passenger traffic, but it remains largely non-electrified and single-track. The maximum operating speed is 100 km/h.
