Cornelis Danckerts de Ry (1561–1634) was a Dutch architect and sculptor from Amsterdam, part of the Dutch Golden Age. He was the son of architect Cornelis Danckerts (1536–1595), the brother of builder Hendrick Danckerts I, and the father of painter Pieter Danckerts de Rij, who painted portraits of his parents. In 1634 Pieter painted pendant portraits of himself and his wife to mark their 50th wedding anniversary; the wife’s portrait is in the Johannesburg Art Gallery, and a portrait of Cornelis Danckerts de Ry hangs in the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. According to Cornelis de Bie in Het Gulden Cabinet, Danckerts built houses and churches in Haarlem. The engraver Pieter de Jode II made an engraving for that book based on Pieter’s painting of him.
