Prophecy of Ahijah

Prophecy of Ahijah is a lost ancient text that may have been written by the Hebrew prophet Ahijah the Shilonite. It is known only from brief Biblical references, especially in 2 Chronicles 9:29 and 2 Chronicles 10:15, where it is called Ahijah’s prophecy. The work is also sometimes called the Prophesy of Ahijah the Shilonite. The 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia suggested it might have been part of a larger collection called Tales of the Prophets, written by different authors. The account of Solomon’s reign in 1 Kings 11:41 does not mention this work.
